People matter to Platform – Greenacre is delighted to be working with PHG to identify an experienced M&E professional, who has the passion and drive to manage the Group’s mechanical and electrical repairs and compliance service.

Following the recent merger, PHG has doubled its servicing on gas in order to become a more proactive rather than responsive service.  Over the past 15 months the 80 engineers have been going above and beyond to ensure this vital service has still been provided throughout the pandemic.  This is a perfect example of the values driven, committed staff team you would be taking responsibility for.  Therefore, it is imperative that you are a “people focused” leader, who is able to build the success of the service around the people who deliver it.

THE ORGANISATION

Platform Housing Group owns and manages 45,000 homes across the Midlands, with a portfolio that includes social and affordable rent and shared ownership houses. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing the M&E Property team, as well as providing leadership and direction to ensure the team deliver on their objectives and develop their potential. 
• To work with the Operations Director and wider Property Directorate to develop, implement and manage a sector leading, customer focused mechanical and electrical repairs and compliance solution for PHG and other CSV partners.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with other sector organisations, regulatory bodies, legal professionals and any other appropriate governance and compliance professionals.
• Oversee the Value for Money action plan for the M&E Property function, ensuring this is kept up to date at all times.
• Support the Operations Director to provide planned/scheduled and ad hoc compliance related communication and training, updates and reports to Board, Committees, ET, SLT and operational levels in the business.
