We have an exciting opportunity to join our Customer Experience team as a Customer Partner. This frontline role is supporting Stonewater and our customers make informed decisions about the external environment of our neighborhoods. You will particularly lead on our response to customer queries that relate to trees and the external environment and deal with those issues that matter to our customers.

The role:

  • To shape and deliver a service to customers with queries relating to the external environment that require technical competence to diagnose the nature and root cause of the issue.
  • Develop an action plan that works for individuals, communities and Stonewater.
  • To advise on planned improvement works and projects to take account of tree protection laws and the impact planned projects may have on the local environment and wildlife
  • Managing trees on Stonewater land, organising tree surveys, recording tree locations, answering enquiries from the customers regarding trees and shrubbery
  • Supervising tree care and tree planting contracts by virtual site visits and arranging contractors' work
  • Making recommendations to Stonewater and customers on tree health, providing written technical reports on tree safety, giving demonstrations, talks and training for customers and colleagues
  • Liaising with Stonewater’s solicitors in legal, insurance and planning matters relating to trees
  • Be a champion for Stonewater’s ‘tone of voice’ campaign, providing a first class customer service that makes customers feel respected, valued and listened to
  • Provide customers with a customer journey that is efficient in terms of delivering resolution or next steps
  • Be responsive to changing customer needs and human by being compassionate
  • Commit to developing your professional knowledge and expertise in critical specialist areas and be prepared to take on new specialist areas as customer demand and business needs evolve
  • Build customer confidence in digital channels
  • Use data and behavioural insights to propose service innovations
  • Take personal pride in the appearance of Stonewater’s neighbourhoods and our work with customers

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience of roles where a technical understanding of trees and large vegetation was required
  • Awareness of issues concerning the external environment in residential areas and how solutions can be developed with communities
  • Knowledge of tree protection orders, conservation areas, and other relevant regulation and government guidance
  • Experience in forestry, arboriculture, country management, forest management, woodland ecology or conservation
  • Passionate about environmental sustainability and caring for our local environments, urban conservation and education
  • Experience of safeguarding and managing complex customer cases
  • Commitment to innovation, quality, customer service and value for money
  • Skills in adopting new digital solutions and innovations
  • Experience of partnership working to meet the needs of customers
  • Ability to think ‘beyond process’ to find innovative solutions for customers

Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory, DBS, references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
