For some organisations, Sustainability means retrofitting a few Air Source Heat Pumps or putting some Solar panels on to their properties.  For others, Sustainability is a key Executive priority and will be the key driver for many of their property-led decisions.  Platform Housing Group falls into the latter.

They have already carried out a huge amount of their retrofit work, but there is still so much more to do in order to achieve Net Zero Carbon across their portfolio.  They have secured a significant bond to help them achieve their ambitions and you be responsible for driving this important agenda.  If you want to be at the cutting edge of decarbonization in the Housing sector, this could be the place for you!

THE ORGANISATION

Platform Housing Group owns and manages 45,000 homes across the Midlands, with a portfolio that includes social and affordable rent and shared ownership houses. The group has G1 governance and V1 financial viability ratings from the Regulator of Social Housing and was the seventh largest housing association builder completing 1,448 new homes in 2019/20 at an investment of £258m. We are committed to making a real and positive difference to the lives of local customers and the communities they live in.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement the decarbonisation strategy for the entire PHG portfolio.
• Responsibility for developing standards, specifications and products, including green and emerging technologies.
• Identify and oversee the implementation of green and emerging technologies.
• Collate and maintain comprehensive data records identifying thermal efficiency of the portfolio. 
• Develop and implement a minimum SAP C rating for all properties.

If you want to play your part in addressing the climate change agenda, whilst also positively impacting individuals lives, then this may be the role for you.  A demonstrable knowledge and expertise in this field is essential, ideally in the property/residential sector.  You will have significant backing from the Executive Team, so you will have the opportunity to do some really exciting work with Platform Housing Group!
