This a pivotal role which provides a fantastic opportunity for you to lead and develop the Nottingham City Homes rents provision and shape our services to both our tenants and leaseholders across Nottingham.

You will utilise your expert knowledge and experience from a similar environment to maximise the organisations income through an effective rent and leaseholder service that also supports tenants to sustain their tenancies and maximises their own income. We are looking for someone who is an innovative thinker, who has a fresh and modern approach to tackling issues facing the department and someone who can have a positive impact on our strategies, provision and services we provide.

Alongside extensive rents experience we are looking for someone who can effectively manage a team where you will utilise your leadership skills to empower and develop people to become excellent NCH employees. You will be responsible for team planning, resources, organisation and managing your team within the Company’s culture and values. Under the guidance of the Assistant Director, you will be accountable for the team’s performance and for the delivery of the team’s objectives and targets.

You will provide strategic and operational direction, working with senior management and other key stakeholders within NCH to make our communities a great place to live and work. We will look to you to provide professional high-quality advice and support to EMT, Board Members, tenant and leaseholders representatives. You will display excellent communication skills in order to prepare, interpret and present complex reports to senior management and the board.

Ideally, you will hold a relevant professional qualification such as NVQ level 5 or working towards a Chartered Institute of Housing qualification or similar, but more importantly you will have experience within a similar role and sharing our values is something we as a business prioritise. You will also demonstrate an understanding of the legal framework (acts and statutes) relating to housing services and people management.
