Head of Home Ownership

We are looking for a Head of Home Ownership (1 post) to join our Home Ownership team.
This is new role at Onward and you will lead our services in leasehold, shared ownership and freehold properties to ensure our customers receive a professional, cost effective and high quality of service.
Managing a team of Home Ownership colleagues, you will lead excellent leasehold management services, including; staircasing, resale, and Right to Buy and Acquire services with robust financial controls to ensure the effective maintenance of the portfolio. You will ensure our customers receive a high-quality service and value for money that reflects the needs and requirements of their property and estate through effective communication, ease of access and use of Onwards services.
Working in partnership with our colleagues in Property and Finance, you will ensure planned and cyclical works are effectively delivered along with accurate and timely charges to provide a joined up service that drives positive customer satisfaction. You will ensure we have set management fees and service charges for home owners, with suitable levels of balance that will facilitate the effective management of the portfolio.
It is essential you have in depth knowledge of relevant legislation with proven experience of delivering effective leasehold management functions and managing agency services. Your excellent knowledge of variable service charges and of property management and maintenance, will demonstrate your track record of service improvement and resourcefulness and your commitment to deliver exceptional customer service. Experience of managing, developing and leading teams in order to meet our ambitions, will demonstrate your excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with a proven ability to influence external partners and customers.
All posts are recruited to the recruitment salary and movement to the confirmed salary is based on successful completion of a 6 month probation. The base location for this role is to be agreed. However please note that due to Covid-19, we have adapted our working arrangements under government guidelines and Safe Systems of Work.
