Project Surveyor

Location
Redhill, Surrey
Salary
£40,000 inclusive
Closing date

Join this innovative social business as a Project Surveyor and you’ll be diagnosing and resolving problems in a way that maintains both customer satisfaction and productivity.

Raven is a business with a clear social purpose: building homes and changing lives in Surrey and Sussex. We aim to be an outstanding provider of homes, a cornerstone of the community and an innovative employer.

As a Project Surveyor – the lead for works focussing on maintaining our homes in line with our Healthy Homes strategy– you’ll have a crucial role in identifying the root cause of historical repairs including damp and condensation, instructing and managing works to resolving multi trade repairs with our contractor base and in-house labour teams. You’ll take ownership, proactively investigating on site, talking to residents, creating quotes, job specifications and plans, procuring/ordering works and project managing complex projects. Using diagnostic equipment including damp meters, understanding carbide testing and sensor technology would be a part of the role.

An understanding of the requirements for renewable retrofit construction would be an advantage, and / or the 2050 government target for net zero carbon properties.

With membership of CIOB/RICS or equivalent and a related qualification, your housing sector experience should include diagnosing repairs and instructing works using M3 SOR’s. Your understanding of customer needs is as important as your grasp of IT, project planning/management and financial or commercial considerations. You should also share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively and caring about making things better.

We support and trust our staff to work as a team and be their best. We offer good salaries and benefits, including a great pension scheme, 27 days paid holiday, sickness benefit and training to develop your skills and career.
