Salary of £19,300 to £20,250 pa [pro rata]

We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team! We support our brilliant customers who have diverse needs and need certain level of support to manage their tenancies. They live in in various properties across Chard and Street- some share facilities and have self-contained flats.
We help our customers by focussing on tenancy support. You’ll support by helping them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts. You’ll also support our customers with their housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account. You’ll turn around vacant bed spaces so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly. You’ll also make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we are health and safety compliant!

Agata is our brilliant Senior Client Services Manager, and has been in post since September 2020. Agata has 12+ years of experience in housing management and she holds NVQ5 and Degree in Health and Social Care. She manages Intensive Housing Management team across South Somerset (Yeovil, Chard and Street). Agata enjoys long walks with her labradoodle pup, loves spending time with friends and family and traveling!
There are 6 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!
You’ll work on regular shift pattern between Monday and Friday. We are happy for you to put suggestions forward of how you wish to work your 33h per week. We are flexible and understand the importance of time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!
Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid weekly!
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.
As Housing Management Coordinator you’re experienced in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties. You know all about re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. You’re great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in housing environment before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!
As this is a community based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use!
When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
