Plus, brilliant benefits!

Enabling our customers to live safely. That’s when it hits home!
We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who are under 18 to develop their independent living skills in a supported environment to enable them to move on successfully. We offer high levels of support so customers can gain these essential skills and then move to lower supported services before moving into their own tenancies.
They live in a semi-detached house close to the centre of Weston. They all have en-suite bathrooms but share the kitchen and lounge. We also have a large training room where we deliver support and group sessions.
We help our customers to develop the necessary skills like budgeting, healthy eating and how to maintain a tenancy. We do this through one to one and group sessions and work with customers to identify their goals and aspirations so that they can achieve their full potential.

Customer quote
"I never thought I would be able to budget but I don’t have any rent arrears and my fridge has food in!  I think that means I can budget".

About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us we’re not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our brilliant manager is Karen, she has worked in the Care & Support sector for 15 years and for Homegroup for 4 years.
There are 5 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! Jane is our Support Coordinator and has worked for Homegroup for 17 years, Jane set this service up in 2012! She is affectionately known as the ‘Oracle’ because of her wealth of knowledge and is always happy to share her knowledge with colleagues and customers!

Working hours
You’ll work on a rolling rota basis with our current Housing Concierge working nights (10pm to 6am) including weekends, and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

About you
As our Housing Concierge you’ll play a really important role in supporting the smooth running of our services. You will ensure the safety and securing of our buildings and of our customers, and make sure we get on with our neighbours!
You’ll get involved in lots of different activities which will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to. As our Housing Support Concierge, you’ll also provide out of hours cover being the first point of contact for our customers during the night and at times we’ll also need you to do some general cleaning duties too.
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative.
If you’re not the biggest fan of technology, that’s not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high-tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However, we’re glad to support you, if you need help.
It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!
When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
