Due to a restructure of our Executive team we are seeking an experienced senior manager to take the lead as Head of Governance and Risk. The purpose of this leadership role is to oversee governance and manage risk throughout the group.

What you will be doing: 

  • Leading and managing a team

  • Promoting a culture and understanding of good governance across the Group

  • Ensuring that bpha’s provides a complaint services to its customers which is fair, effective, consistent and efficient

  • Ensuring that risks to delivery of the Group’s strategy and operational plans are identified and embedded within operational planning decision making

  • Ensuring appropriate legal advice is available to the organisation 

  • Providing advice and support to Board and Committee members to help them in the delivery of their duties 

We’d love to meet someone with:  

  • Ability to champion and promote ideas of risk management and governance that contributed to the aims of bpha and meet our business needs

  • Ability to translate theoretical areas of governance and risk into practical and operational solutions

  • Ability to lead and manage a team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience of providing a high-quality company secretarial service to Board and Committee members

  • Experience of working at senior level

  • Experience of managing a team

  • Relevant Professional Qualification in law, risk or as a Company Secretary
