The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Change Manager to join our Change Team at Yorkshire Housing.    You’ll be joining at an exciting time as we look at improving the way we interact with our customers, how we run our business with lots of changes to the technology we use and how we work.  The great thing is,  this role will be leading this journey!

You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider, but we’re so much more than that. Yes, we own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and make it possible for current and future customers to have a place they’re proud to call home,  but we’re also all about making a positive difference in people’s lives.  Whether that’s helping people get on the property ladder, supporting with money coaching or enabling our older customers to continue to live independently. And to do that, we need to recruit and keep the very best people

What you’ll be doing?

As an experienced Business Change Manager, you’ll  be used to operating as a business partner with a program focus working on key projects. You'll be able to lead a team of Business Change Managers and ensure change management strategies are implemented consistently across a portfolio of change projects.

Within this role you’ll:

  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications across Programs.

  • Lead the change impact and service protection planning with stakeholders

  • Act as the face of the change delivery team with senior management, undertaking a business partnership approach to identify &  resolve issues through all of the stages of development

  • Ensure business benefits associated with the change are measured and tracked within their project/program and ensure that consistent benefit realization standards are utilized

  • Perform an impact assessment of the changes being introduced on the business teams, and coordinate project/program business readiness activities

  • Be responsible for ensuring business stakeholders & business change managers, forward plan and allocate the relevant resource to the deliver the program objectives

The stuff that sets you apart?

The main things:

  • At least 3 years experience in in a similar change management/transformation role, we particularly want to hear from you if you have worked in the Housing Sector.

  • Previously worked in pivotal roles across multiple projects and change programs.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and a strong communicator with experience working with and  influencing senior management

  • Experience of evaluating the impact of business process or system improvements in terms of culture change, return on Investment, or benefits realization

  • Previous experience leading and developing a team

It would be really good if you have:

  • Relevant professional qualification

  • Worked on technology projects and change

  • Project management and business case development experience

What’s in it for you?

We offer a salary of £49,255 per annum for a 35 hour week, 25 days annual leave (raising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.  We also promote a flexible working culture, as long as these fit in around the needs of your role. So you don’t need to take  a day off to do that parent child reading class  or take your pet to the vets or doing both! But talk it over with your manager, to make sure it fits in around what you need to do and meet business needs.

We also provide a fantastic reward package to suit everyone –a variety of amazing discounts via PerkBox, a great Healthcare cash plan called Health Shied and a contributory pension scheme where we will match your contributions up to 9%! As well as our great benefits and a fantastic work environment, we’re absolutely a company that cares about its employees and its customers.

We want colleagues to feel free to be themselves - so we’re all responsible for making sure we promote a culture of equality, diversity and inclusion.

The finer print

This is a home-working position but in line with our hub, home and roam strategy, you do need to be able to commute to or around Yorkshire easily  for face to face collaboration and to meet business requirements.

If you are applying for this role internally you must inform your current line manager

Detailed requirements are included on the attached role profile
