Director of Corporate Finance

The Group has an annual turnover exceeding £200mn and over £2bn of assets. Our activities span landlord services, supported housing and care services, community investment and the development of much needed new homes through our strategic partnerships with Homes England and the GLA.
Maximising the financial capacity of the Group on an ongoing basis will be a key requirement to support the delivery of the Group’s corporate objective to provide more homes for those in housing need and to help tackle the housing crisis in London and the south-east.
We’re looking for a talented individual to join us as the Director of Corporate Finance to lead our Corporate Finance function.
Reporting into the Executive Director of Resources, the Director of Corporate Finance will develop and maintain the Group’s capital structure, lead liquidity and cash flow planning, lead on the Group’s long term financial planning and ensure investment and development decisions are financially sound and effectively structured.
Managing relationships with the Group’s funders, investors, rating agencies and the regulator is key to this role, taking the lead in investor relations to ensure the Group remains a credible and strong counterparty over the long term.
As a pivotal member of the senior leadership team, you will engage with the Executive Team, Finance Committee and Group Board members delivering and presenting corporate finance related information and providing regular reports and recommendations as required.
You’ll be based at our modern, vibrant office in Farringdon, the buzzing yet cultural area of London which is centrally located and easy to access via various means of transport. However, we offer the flexibility for agile working to allow you to work from home too, so we’ll provide you with the necessary mobile working equipment.
Experience in a similar role at Director level with strong leadership skills to be able to support and motivate direct reports is needed, supported by a relevant professional qualification (CCAB, ACT or equivalent).
The ideal candidate will have worked in social housing, financial services or other relevant industries. Adept at managing relationships with external and internal stakeholders, you’ll have a wealth of knowledge in the corporate finance space and be a confident, analytical and tactical decision-maker with the ability to plan strategically.
You’ll need to be flexible to work outside of business hours when required and have the ability to travel independently throughout our other sites of operation when required.
