All jobs will be undertaken with a ‘right first time’ culture. You will have a multi skilled, whole job repair approach which delivers high level of individual and team performance. You’ll deliver recognised industry standards for compliance, quality and productivity.
What makes us No. 7 in the UK’s Best Super Large Great Places to Work, 7th Best Place in the UK for Great Places for Women to Work, 18th in the Stonewall Top 100 and Investors in People Platinum (!!) Standard….! It’s our brilliant people and culture!

About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about delivering a customer focussed repairs and maintenance service to deliver on our Customer Promise. You’ll work for one of our brilliant Repairs and Maintenance Supervisors and Chris Grant our fantastic Repairs and Maintenance Manager.

Where you’ll work
You’ll initially work across the County Durham, Washington and Sunderland area. The great news is that you will have some flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices (when we return to office working) and we’ll give you the technology and kit to make that easy.

Working hours
In order to meet the needs of our customers, we need to be flexible. This means you’ll work 5 days per week depending on the need of the business. You may also be asked to take part in our out of hours service. As we’re asking you to be flexible for us, we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

About you
As an Electrician, you’ll have an NVQ level 3 or City and Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification. You will be qualified to 18^th edition IET wiring regulations, electrical inspection and testing 2391 and AM2 or equivalent qualification.
You will have decisive fault-finding experience and knowledge to ensure faults are diagnosed and effectively repaired.
You’ll have experience of undertaking electrical repairs, installation and testing within a housing maintenance environment. With a flexible approach and ability to take ownership, you can use your own judgement and initiative. You will also have experience in other building trade areas (multi skilled) with relevant training and experience.
Here at Home Group we have invested heavily in our future and use current and up to date equipment. You’ll be issued with the latest kit, which could include a Surface Pro and mobile. So, it's important to us that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
You need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a vehicle insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use!
When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Basic Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
