Your new role

Ekaya are looking for a Property Services & Asset Manager to have operational responsibility for asset management, property compliance and health and safety, tendering, letting and managing contracts for day to day repairs and voids, capital works and specialist services.  With a particular emphasis on long term asset management across the full property portfolio which consists of care & support buildings for young people, a day nursery as well as the residential flats & new builds.

You will need to ensure that day to day repairs, cyclical maintenance and capital programmes deliver value for money and are delivered within budget, whilst leading on all the property management services.  The successful candidate will be equally comfortable managing contracts and contractor performance, working with residents and using resident feedback to inform service delivery and working with the senior management team and staff colleagues to plan strategy, budgets and business improvements.

The post holder will need to be capable of high level planning, contract management, budget management, health & safety and CDM, developing and reviewing policies and procedures, completing customer and site visits and inspections and managing and developing the staff team.

This role will also require you to lead a team of 2, requiring you to be both operational and strategic in your approach.

What you’ll need to succeed

You’ll hold a recognised qualification in a property related discipline with a minimum of degree level qualification or equivalent.  You’ll be a member of a professional body, e.g. Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

You’ll have demonstrable knowledge of building construction, building standards, planning regulations, regulatory standards, and leasehold legislation.

You will have knowledge and experience of setting up and managing housing maintenance contracts and understanding how to drive excellent service delivery and value through effective contract management.

With previous experience and a sound knowledge of property compliance you will make sure that Ekaya meets all its statutory and regulatory requirements ensuring our customers, staff and contractors are safe.

What you’ll get in return

You will receive a salary of £50,900.00 with car/travel allowance, alongside other company benefits which include complete autonomy on flexible working.
