Housing Concierge - Weekends

Permanent Contract, Part time (15 hours per week)

£9.50 per hour if you?d prefer to work on our bank on a casual basis

Our brand new community wellbeing scheme is now open in the beautiful seaside town of Scarborough. We are supporting older people aged 55+ with varying care and support needs to live independently in their own home and enjoy their well-earned retirement! 

We offer high quality living in our 63 beautifully designed apartments with a variety of on-site facilities including assisted living technology through Tunstall, wellbeing and care provision, restaurant, café, hair/beauty salon, communal rooms and picturesque landscaped gardens. It will be a real hub within the local community. Brilliant isn?t it!

Based from our fantastic new building on Scalby Road, we are very close to Scarborough town centre on public transport or by car (you can almost smell the fish and chips and we?re sure that we?ll be popping out often to grab some for our lunch!).

Your role

As Housing Concierge covering the weekend shifts you?ll play a really important role in supporting the smooth running of our service. You?ll make sure that our buildings and customers are safe and secure, and that we get on with our neighbours!

You?ll get involved in lots of different activities which will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to. You?ll be our first point of contact for our customers, contractors and visitors.

About our team

We?re recruiting a brilliant new team, so you?re going to be part of a fabulous new Home Group family. You?ll be reporting to Jemma our Community and Wellbeing Manager, and working alongside Bridie, our Registered Manager who bring a wealth of experience to lead our brilliant service. To us were not just a team we?re a ?work family?.

Working hours

We?ll be providing 24-hour support to our customers, so you?ll work on a rota basis, with shifts ranging between 7am-3pm and 2pm-10pm on weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but in return we?ll give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

Bank

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.

About you

You?re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You?ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative. To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however it?s your ?can do? positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!

When you join, you?ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don?t have a transferrable one.
