Peabody are looking for a business support administrator based at Thamesmead to provide administrative support to the wider Environmental Services Team. The role is an opportunity for someone to develop and build their administrative skills it requires good communication, both written and verbal, with a particular ability to deal with a Team at all levels.   

 

Purpose of the role:

 To provide excellent administrative and service support for the Environmental Services Team. To be targeted and customer focused ensuring the departmental/team objectives are achieved. 

 

  Departmental Responsibilities:

To assist the Business Support Manager in providing business, administrative and service support to the wider Environmental Services Team. 

Using the Confirm system to raise orders including updating sites, features, regimes, frequency, including compiling daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports, payment reports as directed by the Business Support Manager. 

To administer the various contract dashboards including monitoring and reviewing outstanding work, production of status reports and closure of orders within set time scales.

To assist the Business Support Manager in the management of Confirm performing the month end process to yearly system preparation.

To assist the Business Support Manager in providing a wide range of administrative tasks  e.g raising purchase orders, processing invoices and other related functions.

To assist the Business Support Manager in ordering equipment, PPE including H & S Items

To complete designated tasks and duties consistently within timescales and with minimal supervision.

To provide support using Microsoft office and associated IT systems or as directed by the Business Support Manager. 

To follow Peabody Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure, as far as is practicable, your own safety and that of others in the workplace. You may be required to undertake specific Health and Safety roles such as Fire Warden or First Aider as part of your duties.

 

Skills/Experience required:

- Able to use Microsoft Office and relevant associated IT systems.

- Ability to adopt a flexible approach to working within an office environment

 Ability to deliver excellent customer care and valuing diversity. 


Essential:

- Experience of working with DLO staff or similar environment.

- Experience of working in a target and customer focused environment.

- Experience of dealing with customers using a targeted approach.

Qualifications required:

Good Standard of general education.
