Peabody are looking for an experienced Female Team Manager - Resettlement, to manage this new service working 22.5 hrs (3 days) per week including on call,  initially on a Fixed Term Contract until 30 June 2022. Offered as a secondment opportunity for current Peabody employees.

Having successfully secured funding through the North London Housing Partnership, to launch a new short-term accommodation-based service for women experiencing homelessness based in Islington. You will lead and manage staff to work in a trauma informed way with a focus on enabling positive move on.

This service will accommodate women aged 18+ in a 9-bed property with single bedrooms and shared kitchen, bathroom facilities with an office on site also. The service is to be staffed 24/7 with support delivered to facilitate positive move on within a 3-month timescale.

This new contract offers the opportunity to introduce new ways of working within the organisation and to support your staff team to grow and develop in their roles. You will be expected to lead from the front, using clear communication, effective delegation, and being able to work successfully as part of a wider team as well using your own initiative and making decisions when needed. Problem solving skills are a must, as is the ability to motivate staff and ensure services are covered as required.  You will develop partnerships and relationships with referring Boroughs and private landlords for possible move on, as well as ensuring quality checking and compliance are adhered to.

Ultimately your role will be to ensure that those who come to live in our services receive the right support at the right time and that the outcomes that matter to them are achieved before they move on.

If you are able to keep track of and use data, build positive working relationships both internally and externally, and have experience of growing a team and delivering positive change then this could be role for you.

Please note video interviews are due to take place week commencing 12 July 2021.

Please note: For genuine occupational requirement reasons, we are looking to appoint females only for this post (exemption under the Equality Act 2010, Part 1 Schedule 9) due to the nature of the service and client group to be worked with.

At Peabody, where possible, we provide flexible working opportunities from day one to our employees, as we recognise the importance of a good work-life balance; and to improve our productivity and performance, we embrace agile working, which means if you are in a desk based role, that will be a hybrid of office and home working. We want to attract recruit and retain a diverse, inclusive and creative workforce to give us the best opportunity to meet the diverse needs of our residents and customers.
