Looking for Caretakers, who are capable of providing excellent internal and external cleaning services.

Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.

The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.

The Post

We are looking to recruit Caretakers, who will be responsible for the cleaning of housing properties, in line with the agreed cleaning frequencies and standards to internal and external areas of the council estates.

You will also be expected to liaise with the relevant internal and external services, report environmental issues and assist them with the prevention of fly-tipping, graffiti and anti- social behaviour on the housing sites.

The Person

This role would suit someone who is a flexible team member and who is happy to engage with residents, colleagues within the Housing Management Services and contractors, who provide waste collection, ground maintenance and repairs services to the housing estates.

A reasonable level of literacy and numeracy, experience of working with the public, in a service delivery environment and experience of carrying out cleaning tasks are some of the key prerequisites for this role.

Closing Date: 06 July 2021 (23:00)
