IS Test Manager
Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)

As our IS Test Manager, you’ll manage all testing activities for projects across Home Group, driving continuous improvements and best practice in automated and functional testing including delivering to both agile and waterfall methodologies. You’ll ensure that any new or changed IS service matches its design specification and successfully delivers business needs.
This is a brilliant opportunity to really make your mark, defining and delivering testing approaches for each individual piece if work which is high quality and progressive. You’ll ensure your team works collaboratively to meet the needs of our internal customers and adds real value to projects and change initiatives. 
You’ll report to Simon, our Head of IS Service Management who is passionate about delivering IS Services which add real value and drives our business needs to succeed… We’re pretty sure he’s got this, and with you by his side… we think you’ll do great things!

Where you work
We have invested heavily in our IT infrastructure to allow us to work in an agile way. You could choose to be based from your home (we’re all working this way at the moment), anywhere around the country or if you prefer company you could work from one of our regional hubs. Our Head Office is in Newcastle upon Tyne, so you will need to come and visit us Geordies once in a while! It will be great when we are all able to meet up again! 

 About you
You’ll bring brilliant experience in designing, managing and driving continuous improvements in testing automation within a large organisation. You’ll be able to manage multiple projects, providing recommendations and innovative approaches based on risks and available resources. You’ll be a brilliant people manager, skilled at unleashing the potential of our teams as well as making it a great place to work for colleagues.
With a professional qualification such as ISTQB or equivalent, you’ll bring fantastic experience using testing automation, defect management and test management tools. If you have knowledge of security and load testing within cloud environments this would be fantastic too – but not a deal breaker!

Working flexibly

You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!
