£24,982 - £27,741+ Market rate supplement of up to £10,000 per annum (Subject to review)

We are looking for a Housing Development and Viability Officer to play a key role in delivering the Council's Housing Strategy and housing priorities in relation to new housing. You will work in partnership with Registered Providers, developers and Homes England to deliver good quality new homes.

You will evaluate and provide feedback on development proposals to ensure schemes maximise affordable housing delivery. You will provide the housing response to consultations on planning applications, complete scheme assessments, and refer schemes for independent viability assessment.

A well organised team player with several years relevant experience in the housing development sector you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage both projects and your own time well. You should have an understanding of the mechanisms used to deliver new affordable housing and a working knowledge of local land markets and development economics.
