The Role

In this rewarding and challenging role, you will manage all housing management activities for a specific portfolio of properties/areas and create sustainable communities.  You will be a visible presence on estates and neighbourhoods, focusing on providing an effective and efficient high quality tenancy management service to the tenants and leaseholders living in the council’s housing stock in order to maintain a good landlord / tenant relationship and strive towards tenancy sustainment, maximising the council’s rental income through effective income management and arrears recovery and ensuring compliance with the tenancy agreement.

Skills/Experience Required

This position is job share, working Thursday’s and Friday’s only.

To fulfil this role, we are looking for a customer focused person with a minimum of 6 months experience of working in in social housing tenancy management or related public service field.  This role can be busy and demanding, therefore it is essential that you have first class organisation skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and to also have a flexible approach to working hours.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate are also required.

As you will undertake site visits, it is a requirement that you are able to transport yourself within and beyond the city boundary, as required.
