The opportunity

We are recruiting for a Labourer who prides them self on the quality of their work to join a forward thinking & growing housing association. You will be part of our regional HomeWorks Building Services Team who provide quality and efficient services around Yorkshire.

You will receive quality training and development to ensure our colleagues meet our quality guidelines and work within the experienced, dynamic & friendly Homeworks Building Services Team, which maintains and repairs our properties.

What you’ll be doing?

You’ll be required to work alongside our in house team of multi skilled Builders, supporting two man working on all types of work, to include mainly building tasks,

You’ll be expected to carry out smaller jobs on your own, using your initiative to carry out an effective or make safe repair. And assisting the building operative as required.

You’ll produce accurate job records, detailing all work undertaken, using our in house software and PDA hand held device. And work in a safe manner in order to adhere to our Health & Safety polices.

Due to the nature of this role you must have a full UK driving license.

The stuff that sets you apart

This role would suit someone with experience  in building/ sufficient to be able to support existing teams and to carry out smaller repairs unsupervised.

You’ll be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding for health and safety. And have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a small team

You’ll have the ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues and computer literate or willingness to adopt to software based systems after training

We offer a salary of £19,486 per annum for a 37.5 hour week, 25 days annual leave (raising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays. You must hold full UK driving license as this role you will be expected to travel across the North Yorkshire locally to York/ Malton /Pickering/
