Job Details

Peabody is recruiting permanent, full-time (various full-time hours available*), Female Care Support Workers - Grays. This position is for a registered care home and we support eight customers at this service who have a learning & physical disability.

Customers require staff who are empathetic & kind. You must be comfortable carrying out personal care on behalf of the customers & supporting them with all aspects of daily living. We support customers with manual handling with the use of hoists & mobility by use of their wheelchairs. The role can be physically & mentally demanding at times so you need to be resilient. Previous experience is not essential.

Please note this role involves personal care.

Candidate must be able to work a three week rolling rota which has a mixture of shifts: 7am to 2pm, 2pm to 9pm & 9pm to 7am (Awake night) shift times may be subject to change to meet needs of the service.

Candidate must have excellent communication skills both written & spoken English.  IT skills an advantage.

No permanent nights on offer

Mileage for business use is 45p per mile (Must have business insurance to claim this)

Flexible benefits on an annual basis from April each year

Paid Enhanced DBS (checks will include both the child and adult barring checks)

Full training provided to support you in your role
