Salary

We hit the scene in 1975 and have steadily grown to now manage just over 1,200 homes in Sheffield and Rotherham, with a small number of new homes in north Derbyshire. We're all about keeping it simple, doing the right thing, and continuously improving to provide the best service for our customers.

Arches Housing might be small, but we are an organisation that punches above its weight, and we have big ambitions for our communities and colleagues.

It’s an exciting time to join as we focus more of our attention on our rich and diverse communities, truly putting them our customers at the heart of what we do – and we want you to be part of that journey!

Whilst the housing sector has many challenges ahead, including managing the recovery post-COVID, Arches has demonstrated real strength and agility.  We have strong financial performance and we have exciting opportunities for development and growth.

We continue to invest in business development and improvement, and we think this sets us apart from our peers.  We have an appetite to do more and we are looking for colleagues to join the business and help us drive that vision forward.

We have 2 exciting roles to fill which offer a great opportunity to move into an agile and flexible culture where you will have the chance to be involved in meaningful organisational change and development.

We are looking for a Resident Engagement and Communications Officer to join us at an exciting time within our housing operations team with a renewed focus on achieving positive outcomes for our residents.

At Arches we put our residents at the heart of what we do, and this means a commitment to engaging, involving, consulting and empowering our residents and ensuring resident involvement is meaningful and leads to outcomes.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with the ability to use those skills to help shape how we communicate and engage with our residents from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, as well as external stakeholders and across the business.

Reporting directly to the Head of Housing Operations, if successful you will have the opportunity to strongly influence our resident engagement strategy, and will lead and coordinate key areas of resident engagement and involvement including resident scrutiny panels, community events, and consultations about changes to service delivery.

We are a small community landlord but with a big vision and this role will be key in helping us involve our residents in achieving this.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Leah Montia, Head of Housing Operations (leah.montia@archeshousing.org.uk)

The closing date is 9am on Monday 9th August 2021.  Interviews will be held on the week commencing 23th August 2021 and are subject to invitation.

What we offer:

  • A minimum 28 days’ annual leave (on top of bank holidays), rising each year to a maximum of 33 days after 5 years’ service
  • Generous 9% employer pension contribution
  • A 35-hour flexi-time week
  • Agile ways of working
  • Westfield Healthcare plan
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • The chance to make a difference to our tenants and work with some great people!

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from Women and Black, Asian, Minority, Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds as they are currently underrepresented in the business. All appointments will be made on merit of skill and experience relative to the role.
