Empowering customers to live rewarding and happy lives. That’s when it hits home.
We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. You have a genuine passion to lead our services in delivering aspirational person-centred housing related support. You’ll have responsibility for managing our service which is a brand new and in the final stages of being built Extra Care Community Wellbeing Service for people who are 65+ years young.
You’ll be our Housing and Property Guru! As well as focussing on tenancy support, you’ll also be responsible for our small Catering team. You’ll provide a housing management service to our customers, supporting them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts. Working with our cook, you'll carry out food orders, stock management, health and safety practices and manage food accounts. You’ll also help our customers with their housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account.  You’ll turn around vacant bed spaces so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly.  You’ll also make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we are health and safety compliant!

About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. You will also join the wider Management team and will work with our brilliant Operations Manager Katie, our Registered Manger, Rebekah and our Senior Client Services Manager, Therese who all have a wealth of experience in housing, care and support. We all work together and support each other to achieve excellence within our services. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’.

Working hours
You’ll work on a rota basis between the hours of 9-5 and take your turn working weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

About you
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.
As a Support Coordinator you’re experienced in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties. You know all about re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. You’re great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in a housing environment before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!
As this is a community based role, you’ll need to travel around to spend time with your customers. You could do this role using public transport, or if you drive and have access to a car that would also be amazing! (we pay your expenses to cover this use!)
When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
