We deliver a friendly and customer focused neighbourhood/leasehold management service in Brunswick which promotes respect for people, property and the environment, helping maintain a clean and safe Brunswick and fostering community cohesion and engagement as well as support for vulnerable members of the community.

We are looking for a Neighbourhood/Leasehold Apprentice (1 post) to join our team to work at our office in Brunswick, Manchester on a 2 year fixed term contract, with the potential for future permanent opportunities.   

It is essential that you are qualified to GSCE level C or above in Maths and English and that you are keen, enthusiastic and a team player with good communication skills. 

Through work experience, studying, training and development (both practical and vocational), you will complete a course of study and be working towards an Level 2 Chartered Institute in Housing Practice (2 year apprenticeship). There is a requirement for you to attend The Learning Foundry or on a day / block release basis.

The role of Neighbourhood/Leasehold Apprentice assists the Customer Services Team Leader to provide a professional high quality multi-channel customer contact experience to all internal/external customers; handling a full range of housing enquiries and wherever possible offering a resolution at the first point of contact.  

In this role you will the first point of contact with our customers and will support the team with customer interaction, via the Contact Centre, office reception and provide wide range of Council services from the S4B office. 

You will work as part of a team and work collaboratively with colleagues from across the organisation to develop knowledge and support a one organisation approach. Undertaking administrative tasks to support the S4B operational team in delivering excellent service, such as core form data inputting and survey processing and by providing accurate and up to date information in line with company processes, procedures, and agreed standards.

You will play an active role in supporting income collection and taking payments from customers, providing rehousing advice and ensuring application documentation is appropriately managed and processed in a timely manner and understand the issues and opportunities within our neighbourhoods and support the development of Neighbourhood Plans and the maintenance and improvement of the appearance of our neighbourhoods including enforcement actions where appropriate.

The base location for this role is Brunswick Manchester.  Due to Covid-19, we have adapted our working arrangements under government guidelines and Safe Systems of Work.  Discussions around the current working arrangements and Safe Systems of Work specific to the role will take place during the interview process.
