Job Details

We are a vibrant, local charity that has been serving the community for over 150 years through inclusive programmes in housing, health & wellbeing, childcare and youth work. We are passionate about providing opportunities to those most in need.

YMCA Thames Gateway are looking for two Housing Support Workers to join our progressive Housing team who will support residents in maintaining their tenancy and to ensure any support needs are met. You will manage two buildings where light-touch housing support is required.

You will have experience of working with socially excluded young people as well as specific experience in one area of support work i.e. skills training, drug dependency, work with offenders etc.

The Housing Support Workers will effectively manage a caseload that provides constructive guidance to clients through dynamic support planning, as well as oversee individual rent accounts to minimise the risk of arrears and loss of accommodation.

If you are able to conduct yourself in a professional manner, have the skills to manage a tenancy case load with minimal supervision and have good knowledge of current and future benefit arrangements, you just may be the person we are looking for.

  • Work Pattern: Monday – Sunday (includes evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays)
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • The Job Specification and Person Specification can be found here: Housing Support Worker
