Join this innovative social business as Disrepair Surveyor and use your firm grasp of building surveying and damp/condensation management to help us deliver customer satisfaction.
Raven is a business with a clear social purpose: building homes and changing lives in Surrey and Sussex. We aim to be an outstanding provider of homes, a cornerstone of the community and an innovative employer.
As Disrepair Surveyor you’ll be the lead surveyor for disrepair claims and insurance works in our properties, playing a crucial role in identifying the causes of complicated repairs issues such as damp and condensation, and planning and managing work to resolve issues or claims.
Your work will range from reviewing historic damp, condensation and disrepair works to raising and organising new works – producing a clear Schedule of Works for each repair, approving third party estimates, consultant input and project management, ensuring effective communication with residents throughout, and assisting in the resolution of any complaints.
We’ll expect you to be appropriately qualified, in the process of achieving qualifications, or to have extensive equivalent experience. Having worked in the housing sector, you’ll have a proven ability to survey and manage damp/condensation, diagnose repairs and instruct works – including the management of disrepair claims and insurance works.
You’re a natural project planner and project manager, with good financial and commercial understanding, excellent IT skills, and an appreciation of the needs and aspirations of our customer base. You should also share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively and caring about making things better.
We support and trust our staff to work as a team and be their best. We offer good salaries and benefits, a great pension scheme, paid holiday and sickness benefit, plus support for further training to develop your skills and career.
