Lancaster University Students' Union provides excellent services and opportunities to support and inspire our diverse population of over 15,000 students to make the most of their experiences at University. With students at the very heart of all we do, we are looking for a Housing Manager as part of a strong and supportive wider team.
The overall management of the Students’ Union lettings agency and the team therein, ensuring a profitable, safe and customer focussed operation.
You will have significant experience working in Housing to ensure smooth management of all aspects of a headlease tenancy scheme, ensuring that properties meet the necessary agreed standard and have the necessary safety certificates. You must be aware of all housing legislation affecting tenants and landlords in order to provide an efficient housing advice service.
You must have experience of leases in respect of landlords and tenants as well as managing stakeholder relationships.
You must promote a positive safety and safeguarding culture within SU Living to ensure its headlease managed properties meet current legal, accreditation and good practice requirements. You will be responsible for operational matters relating to health and safety within the service.
Due to the nature of the post, you will be required to work on campus.
For an informal discussion regarding the position, please contact Richard Walker on r.walker12@lancaster.ac.uk
We particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic people for this role in order to increase our staff diversity in this part of the Students’ Union.
