We are looking for a new Head of Crawley Homes to lead a successful housing service that has made substantial strides over the past decade, and to put your mark on it as we tackle the strategic challenges of the future.
We pride ourselves in being a trusted, dedicated housing provider of 8,500 high quality homes and growing, with a stock of 1,600 leasehold properties and a garage portfolio of 5,500. And with our dedicated teams we uphold a focus on maintaining a clear focus on the delivery of services based on customer demand, by empowering staff, with a culture of coaching and learning in place, will help the service to improve and meet the future challenges.
This post will join a Corporate Management Team ambitious in the delivery of the administration’s priorities. Chief among these is the expansion of affordable housing. We are on target to deliver over 1,000 over the next 4 years and are widely recognised as one of the biggest deliverers of Council housing in the country.
This is a Council and a town on the move in other ways. Significant transformation is underway ahead of our move to a new Town Hall that will underpin our agile ways of working. This is part of a wider redevelopment securing new income stream for the Council, more affordable homes and a new District Heat Network that work form a central plank of our response to Climate Change. This redevelopment is part of a wider Growth Programme to underpin the future of the town as an economic powerhouse despite the challenges of Covid.
The pandemic has meant that delivering exemplary local services are more important now than ever. Over this past year we have risen to new challenges through staff embracing new ways of working and innovation in how we deliver our services, and in doing so has enabled us to continue to make a difference for our residents.
Your experience, abilities and knowledge will ensure that as both a landlord and as a Council we continue to meet the needs of residents and to deliver on our wider goals for the town of Crawley.
