Job Details

Are you a great leader looking to share your ideas and expertise?

We are looking for a new manager to lead our Housing Service in this non stock holding authority.

You will be taking on a well established set of teams that have an excellent reputation for delivering high quality response services but who want to continue to improve in this challenging housing market.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Housing, Health & Environment, you’ll be responsible for 23 members of staff covering homelessness prevention, allocations, private sector housing, and the provision of affordable housing. You will also be the Council’s Safeguarding Operational Lead.

Following a successful bid to the Homes England Next Steps Accommodation Programme we are keen to explore new investment opportunities through grant funding and the use of the section 106 developer contributions that we hold.

You’ll be working to reducing the use of emergency housing and continue our work on proactive projects to end rough sleeping.

About You:

An experienced housing manager with a good understanding of government policy you’ll be an inspirational manager bringing out the best in your staff and making the most of our stakeholder relationships for the benefit of all.

This position attracts excellent benefits which include: Local Government CARE pension, 32 days annual leave (increasing to 35 days after 5 years continuous Local Government service), as well as invaluable training opportunities for continuing professional development.
