We have 2 fantastic opportunities available for  hardworking and diligent individuals to join our Housing team in Manchester.

We are recruiting for 1 full-time (37.5 hours per week) permanent and 1 full time (37.5 hours per week) 6 month fixed term contract Housing Income Assistants. 

This roles will be based in our Manchester office at Parkway Business Centre, on a Monday – Friday 9am-5pm basis.

There may be travel involved occasionally.

The successful candidates will be organised and credible individuals who will work well in a busy team that provides support with service charge work, debt management, analytical work and general account payable and receivable duties. Providing excellent customer service is key in this role, you will be working with Golden Lane Housing Tenants, their families or support networks to ensure that their accounts are all in order.

As our Housing Income Assistants, you will be responsible for assisting predominately with rent, housing benefit and council tax management and will focus on delivering the best service and the achievement of targets. You will be liaising with local authorities and other service providers on occasion as well as raising invoices and creating standing orders in order to receive payments.  

It is essential for the Housing Income Assistants to have strong interpersonal skills enabling them to liaise with other teams and colleagues at all levels. You will ideally have experience within a similar role, with knowledge of the housing and/or social care sector. An accounting or credit control qualification is desirable, but not essential.
