Job Title: TA Compliance Surveyor
Location: Colindale
Salary:     £42,000 per annum
Hours:     37.5 per week
Term:       Fixed term contract

The Barnet Group is currently seeking to recruit a TA Compliance Surveyor with sound knowledge of Landlord and Tenant law, health and safety HHSRS, building surveying, property and facilities management.

The role will report to the Contracts & Compliance Team Leader and will work closely with colleagues in Housing Options within Barnet Homes. The role is central to meeting our objective to acquire and retain good quality, affordable accommodation to address growing housing demand.

Barnet Homes (part of The Barnet Group) is a dynamic and innovative housing organisation, delivering high-quality front-line housing services on behalf of Barnet Council.  The Housing Options Service (within Barnet Homes) provides housing and homelessness advice to those in need in one of the most popular places to live in London.

You will support the Housing Options Service to deliver its compliance programme, ensuring that compliance issues and the needs of tenants and landlords are addressed in a timely and effective manner.

You will be expected to travel within and outside the borough to inspect properties procured for use as emergency or long-term temporary accommodation. Access to your own transport is therefore essential.

You will be responsible for carrying out inspection of temporary accommodation, providing written reports on the outcome of inspections, and advice and recommendations as required, including identification of any risk.  You will ensure that compliance activities are completed correctly and within timeframes,and provide technical advice in relation to properties procured and managed.
