As a solicitor in Optivo’s Litigation Team, you’ll be an essential part of the wider Legal Services Team and ensure a high quality, professional service is consistently delivered

While working with us you’ll be able to provide a high level of legal services to Optivo in line with our standards and CORE values.
Your day to day will consist of working across key areas providing legal advice and assistance on housing management, landlord and tenant and other contentious litigation matters for Optivo and its Group Partners. As part of this you’ll be involved in drafting legal proceedings, witness statements and pleadings. You’ll also carry out advocacy and prepare and provide effective training to colleagues.
What you’ll need
As Optivo’s Litigation Solicitor you’ll be a fully qualified solicitor ideally with extensive experience working in Local Authorities or Housing Associations.
You’ll have the ability to manage a busy and varied caseload, including Disrepair and EPA matters, ASB matters and possession claims, FTT applications, as well as other tenancy management, landlord and tenant litigation and other contentious cases.
You will naturally have a great eye for detail and be confident working independently as well as part of a team. You’ll also be able to offer guidance and support to junior members of the team and be happy to undertake legal research and advocacy when necessary.
You’ll have excellent IT skills (in particular Microsoft Office suite and Outlook). And have the ability to present information in a variety of forms to a high standard with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
