DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Housing Management Support Lawyer
Newcastle, Gosforth
Part Time (26 hpw), 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary from £28,500 to £32,100 per annum (pro rata), negotiable on skills and experience

About the role       
In this great role, you will provide a customer focused Legal service, partnering with internal colleagues to deliver and ensure effective legal support in respect of housing law litigation matters across Home including, but not be limited to, anti-social behaviour cases, all other tenancy related matters including possession actions, Leasehold matters, and other operational support in respect of disputes and contentious matters. You will be responsible for representing Home Group at Court and instructing external agents as necessary.
Furthermore, you will assist with the ongoing process of our policy development and compliance with our statutory obligations as a registered provider of social housing.

Working hours
In order to meet the needs of our customers, we need to be flexible. This means you’ll work 3.5 days per week on days of the week to be mutually agreed. As we’re asking you to be flexible for us, we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!
The great news is that you will have the flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices and we’ll give you the technology and kit to make that easy.

About you 
You’ll be either a qualified solicitor or legal executive with experience of housing law litigation and other civil litigation work. You’ll be enthusiastic and enjoy working as part of a team and dealing with a wide variety of work and internal clients. You will have a customer/client orientated approach to service provision, as well as experience of working directly with customers/clients in an environment where service excellence is paramount. Furthermore, you will have the ability to utilise departmental and group wide processes that will drive improvements across the legal services team as a whole. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!
Here at Home Group we have invested heavily in our future and use current and up to date equipment and have a digital first agenda. You’ll be issued with the latest kit, which could include a Surface Pro and mobile. So, it's important to us that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
