Empowering customers to live independent and happy lives. That’s when it hits home.

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join Home Group. We support our brilliant customers who are aged 55+ to live independently within our retirement community.

We have 35 flats /properties here in Glen court. Our residents live independently but socialise together within the schemes communal areas. We help our customers by managing the buildings that they live in, to ensure that they are safe and secure and up to the required safety standards. We also get involved in finding the right partners to work with to maintain and look after our building.

We also support our customer’s welfare by signposting support and services that may be available to them to make a difference in their lives. Finally we also assist the Home Group sales team when a new property becomes available, with interviews for potential new residents.

About our team
You will spend most of your time lone working on site. However, you’ll will also be part of our wider team of fabulous Scheme Managers, who are super passionate about supporting our customers. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Chris, who has worked for Home Group for almost 1 year now! When not at work Chris likes to socialise. There are 12 of us in the team and we don’t just look after our customers, we’re there for each other too!

Working hours
You’ll be working 20 hours per week Monday to Friday. The good news is that you’ll not be expected to work evenings and weekends, or be on call!

About you
You’re sociable, passionate and motivated to help your customers live happy lives. You thrive on interacting with others and are passionate about providing excellent customer service. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, building relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.  You’ll have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, as well as being able to work collaboratively with different partners.

We need you to have knowledge of the health and social issues that affect older people. You’re organised, have excellent communication skills and have the ability to make your own decisions effectively.

As you’ll be responsible for managing the building on behalf of our residents, we need you to have strong technical and administrative skills. You will get involved in tasks such as managing the accounts, budgets and invoices for maintenance and repairs of the building and gardens. You’ll work with our procurement team to source suitable local suppliers.

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!) You need to be aware that we are a high tech company and most of our processes and tools are online.

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
