Compliance Manager
Permanent 37 hours per week
Grade 10 i.e. £39,880 - £43,857 per annum

You will be responsible for compliance / health and safety across the Housing Service, ensuring that Housing assets, people, policies and processes comply with all the statutory regulations, approved codes of practice, official guidance standards and best practice. This will include;

  • taking the lead role in developing, delivering and monitoring the Housing Services health, safety and any other related policies and procedures and ensure that health and safety and compliance are firmly embedded with the culture of the service, working practices and its people.
  • ensuring that the service complies with its statutory duties, obligations and best practice in relation to health, safety and compliance; including gas servicing, legionella, electrical, asbestos, fire safety, other asset related issues and that business operations are carried out safely.

 

  • working closely with other Housing Service teams, the Council’s Health and Safety Team, the Council’s Property Service and other Council services to provide advice, guidance, constructive challenge and scrutiny on health, safety and compliance matters.

The ideal candidate:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a genuine interest in customer service and client relations, knowledge of the housing business, a passion to improve our services, and who shares and demonstrate our values of empowerment, respect, integrity, and adaptability.  

You will be a collaborative and engaging individual with vision and creativity, and an enthusiastic desire to contribute to the development of a high performing Housing Service.

You will have a clear understanding of asset management, health and safety and compliance within a social housing landlord setting, including gas safety, electrical safety, asbestos management, fire risk management, legionella control and management, Construction Design Management (CDM).

A proven track record of partnership working, strong people, team and change management skills will be beneficial.
