Change Housing is a specialist supported housing organisation that brings the expertise and capability together to enable the small-scale registered housing  provider sector to join a group structure, which collectively forms a critical mass that can create operational excellence, growth and diversification that  results in a G1 and V2 regulatory compliant business model.

We are an organisation on a journey, and by 2026 we aim to have a Change Housing Group structure comprising of 6,000 properties providing independent  living to those who need support. The ambition extends into diversifying growth into other occupier segments, such as general needs affordable housing.  We are on a campaign to attract other registered providers to join Change Housing, in a quest to consolidate the sector and strategically create critical mass  to build business resilience.

We are achieving this by creating an exemplar business operating model, providing business leadership through strategic planning and operations expertise  and support to our subsidiary housing providers, alongside leading development of land and property to build independent free reserves and business  resilience within our subsidiaries.

Change Housing has developed a track record of attracting registered providers, with Hilldale Housing Association joining Change Housing in December  2020, who join Quays Housing as an independently operated subsidiary organisation. Change Housing is currently engaging with other registered housing  providers and we are in talks with at least two other organisations.

To help us achieve our ambitions our Executive Chair is seeking to appoint two new Non-Executive Directors to the Board. These are roles that will support  the executive team in ensuring the strategic direction, financial viability and that the Board business is conducted within the context of the New National  Federation Governance Standards.

Therefore, to strengthen the board skills and expertise, we are inviting applications from people with a strong housing customer service background and  expertise in social care business development or specialist supported housing property development. This is experience of improving customer experience  and supply of new homes, working in a Local Government commissioner led environment.

Your experience may cover more than one of these areas, or you may have other professional skills and knowledge that can add value to our ambitions.  Our emphasis is on attracting people who are passionate about shaping a successful and thriving specialist supported housing provision, to ensure  vulnerable people live independent lives.
