Job Details
Northampton Partnership Homes is responsible for managing over 11,000 homes across Northampton. If you are a customer focused, logical, creative thinker who wants to succeed in a career in IT then we have an exciting apprenticeship opportunity available.
You will play a vital role in supporting our ICT systems, hardware and processes, helping our internal customers resolve problems whilst being supported to complete an 18 month Level 3 IT Solutions Technician (Software Path) apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship will involve developing technical and business skills to;
- Build effective working relationships across NPH and with key partners and suppliers
- Carry out business process and data analysis
- Help promote and develop the use of ICT throughout the organisation
- Maintain and develop new and existing Housing software and hardware systems required to support the business
- Provide 1st line helpdesk support to all staff, on a broad range of equipment and software packages
- Support other ICT colleagues with major projects such as hardware and system upgrades.
Based within the Corporate Services and ICT Team, the post holder must have good customer service, interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to work as part of a wider team and manage their time effectively to complete their studies alongside their role.
Once you have successfully completed your 6 month probationary period your salary will rise to £9,825. If you continue to make progress, after one year your salary will rise to between £11,089 – £17,729 depending on your age.
As part of the application process NPH will be sharing candidate information with the apprentice provider, for the purpose of assessing apprenticeship eligibility requirements.

Northampton Partnership Homes is an arms-length management organisation (ALMO) that is responsible for the management of Council housing services.
From 5th January 2015, Northampton Partnership Homes (NPH) has been managing the provision of all the housing services of Northampton Borough Council (NBC) related to its own stock.
NPH is an Arm’s Length Management Organisation that is wholly owned by the Council but has its own Board of Directors. It is a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) and is a not for profit organisation. This means that income will be put back into providing housing and housing related services.
NPH has been set up by NBC for an initial period of 15 years and is responsible for the following services:
- Allocations and Lettings
- Repairs and Maintenance
- Housing Management, including dealing with anti-social behaviour
- Tenancy Support
- Tenant Involvement
- Ecton Lane Park traveller site
