Chair and Non Executive Directors

Inspiring Homes is an organisation that has an ambition to become a for-profit Registered Housing Association.

Inspiring Homes is seeking to develop and hold affordable homes focused on shared ownership and affordable rent tenures. We have already architecturally designed the Inspiring Homes house range. This is adopting a house builder approach to ensure efficiency in development economics, while having a focus on developing homes of high quality. 

Our ambition is to develop and have in management up to 1,000 new homes by 2027.

We have been working with our housing association consultancy advisors to guide us through the full regulatory registration.  This has led to the first stage application being submitted to the housing association regulator.

To support the next stage of full registered housing association status, we are seeking to appoint three Non-Executive Directors inclusive of our Chair. These appointments will lead the next stage of registration and into full development affordable homes. 

Chair of Inspiring Homes

We are inviting applicants who have previously held a Chair position or been a Chief Executive of a Housing Association, with experience of close working with the housing sectors Regulator.

You will have an excellent  understanding of the housing regulator, experience of setting the strategic direction of an organisation, a strong understanding of corporate governance and have the gravitas to develop strong working external relationships.  The ability to work well  with the Directors of Inspiring Homes will be an important factor.   

Non-Executive Directors

To support the Chair, we are seeking to appoint two Non-Executive Directors. These are appointments sought from people with experience in shared ownership customer sales and commercial house building development.

This is a great opportunity to apply your skills at a strategic level in an organisation that wants to make a difference to people’s lives, through its place making activity. We recognise the benefits of cross sector knowledge and expertise, so direct experience in the social housing sector it is not essential.
