We require a part time (20 hours per week) Housing Support Worker on a Fixed Term Contract (for 5 months) to work in the Essex Mental Health Supported Housing service in North east Essex. Offered as a secondment opportunity for current Peabody employees.

You will be part of a small team delivering face to face community based support to a cohort of customers who have experienced Mental Ill Health and would otherwise struggle to maintain a tenancy.  You will be supporting individuals in Peabody accommodation to maintain their tenancies and to gain the skills and experience to live independently in the community.  With an understanding of the impact of poor Mental Health and the challenges faced by those affected.  You will have a good general knowledge of the skills required to live independently, experience of providing support and a desire to make a difference to people’s lives.  Working with colleagues and partners to achieve positive outcomes in a trauma informed and person centred way.

Due to our locations, full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.

The working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. You will be required to be flexible to participate in weekend and evening, as required. Hours to be negotiated at interview.

Pro Rata explained: A ‘pro rata’ salary is calculated from what you would earn if you were working full time. You will be paid a proportion of the displayed full-time salary.
