Our Sales Advisors are responsible for securing sales on both the new homes we develop and resale properties on behalf of current customers. This includes Shared Ownership homes, outright sale plus other tenures including some rent products. They deliver exceptional customer service, go above and beyond and aim to meet and exceed targets set.

 

Advisors are often the first point of contact for prospective and existing customers, your excellent customer service and communication skills will guide our customers from initial enquiry, through the sales process to a successful completion.

 

Everything we do is customer focussed and, our customers expect transactions to be effortless, timely and well communicated. Team members are passionate about providing exceptional levels of customer service.

 

Working collaboratively with marketing colleagues, you will proactively generate interest in the homes we offer; teamwork and communication is key. You will put forward new ideas and ways of working whilst adhering to procedures and regulatory requirements. You will work with the wider team and organisation to ensure an exceptional customer journey.

 

Our successful development programme continues to create new homes across the country; therefore team members should be able to travel and accommodate occasional overnight stays. The role will also require regular working outside of normal working hours to meet our customers’ demands and ensure targets are met.

  • To respond to customer queries in a prompt and thorough manner ensuring customers’ expectations are met.
  • Aim to meet and exceed individual and team targets set. These will contribute to the organisation achieving its strategic objectives
  • Work proactively with colleagues to generate interest / leads in available homes and developments.
  • Maximise income generation via selling new and resale homes.
  • An organised, professional individual with a confident approach in dealing with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner.
  • A good level of knowledge with regards to Help to Buy schemes and the conveyance process.
  • The ability to work within procedures follow and within regulatory guidance.
  • Accurate recording of data in systems to ensure accurate reporting and decision making.
  • Establish good working relationships both internally with colleagues and externally with stakeholders such as Help to Buy agents, solicitors, financial advisors and developers.
  • A consistent commitment to demonstrate Accents values and behaviours.

 

As part of the wider team, on occasion you may be required to undertake duties relating to other product types and secondary transactions such as staircasing.

As a Sales Advisor, a typical week might include:

  • Providing exceptional levels of customer service when guiding our customers from initial enquiry, through the sales process and finally to a successful exchange of contracts and completion.
  • Dealing with a variety of tenures such as Shared Ownership new build & resales, Rent to Buy and Outright Sale (including the Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme)
  • Facilitating customer viewings and moving in visits ensuring all customer properties, show homes and marketing suites are presented to a high standard
  • Working closely and developing relationships internally with colleagues across our organisation and externally with Help to Buy Agents, Solicitors, Financial Advisors and Developers

The must haves

  • Able to demonstrate exceptional levels of customer service and deliver on your promises
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment whilst remaining motivated in working towards targets
  • The ability to prioritise and organise workload whilst managing high volumes of transactions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car
  • Ability to work flexibility to meet customer needs and targets which may include evening or weekend working and travel with occasional overnight stays

The added extras
 

  • Experience of working in property sales at a housing association, estate agency or new homes developer
  • Good knowledge of schemes such as Shared Ownership as well as secondary home ownership transaction such as staircasing.
  • Knowledge of the financial and conveyancing processes involved in property sales
  • Knowledge of Homes England Capital Funding Guide & other best practice such as Anti-Money Laundering Regulations and Consumer Protection Regulations

 

 

Location

 

At Accent, we’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage the use of working from home as our new way forward however you will be able to work from any of our regional offices on an adhoc basis.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will need to be based in a commutable distance from Peterborough.

Salary

The spot salary for this post is £33,064 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post & a car allowance of £1,250 per annum. Applicants, who do not meet all of the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.
