Procurement Business Manager
Hybrid location: working from home and one of our regional offices.
Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)
Salary £35,000 to £40,000 per annum

You will be leading a team focussed on effectively managing the procurement to pay processes to drive benefits and efficiencies whilst reducing external expenditure and ensuring adherence across Home Group. You’ll build fantastic relationships with other internal departments and suppliers to enhance operational performance.

You’ll have experience of leading improvements in purchase to pay processes and driving efficiencies that allow colleagues to buy goods and services effectively. You’ll be passionate about driving benefits and supporting the team to deliver sourcing strategies. As well as experience of procurement systems and processes, you’ll also be able to demonstrate working on sourcing processes that deliver optimum value to the organisation.

You will need to have a solid understanding of contract law and public procurement legislation and be able to support a team to deliver within this framework whilst still providing a fantastic customer experience. You’ll be able to demonstrate how you provide procurement support by organising and scheduling a variety of support activities to facilitate the successful operation of the procurement function.

Finally, you will have knowledge of latest purchasing theory and practice including awareness of the latest e-procurement tools, and a CIPS qualification would be highly desirable.

About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about being commercial and achieving great value for colleagues and customers.  To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Lorraine, the Head of Procurement, who has been with Home Group for 18 months.  The whole procurement team love to achieve savings and deliver fantastic service but we also know how to have fun!

Working flexibly
It’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!

You’ll be home and office based for the majority of your time, however our team come together approximately 2 days per month from our head office in Newcastle and you’ll be expected to join us.
