Are you a motivated and passionate qualified Lawyer looking for a new role with the UK's largest Housing Association? We're now recruiting for a Contracts Lawyer to join our Legal team based in London.
In a nutshell, your role will be to provide high quality proactive, solution focused legal advice and support in a diverse range of areas including procurement, commercial contracts, construction contracts, contract management, dispute resolution, commercial risks and governance to all internal clients.
Some of the other key duties will include:
Providing advice on legal issues arising from management of construction contracts including but not limited to construction disputes, referring any complex issues to the Principal Contracts Lawyer.
Advising on standard terms and conditions, NDAs, regulatory compliance, terminations and/or renewal of commercial contracts.
Providing legal support to other areas including advice on the current and future operational contracts, and public law including data protection.
Assisting in the development of and to implement processes and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective provision of services across Clarion and its Group partners.
Keeping abreast of the constitutional, legal and regulatory framework within which Housing Associations operate and to ensure that such knowledge is disseminated to encourage a knowledgeable and compliance focused culture.
To be successful in this role we'll require you to have significant experience as a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with good commercial and contract law experience. You'll be adept at analysing legal commercial problems and have strong negotiation skills. Experience of working in a housing association or public sector body would be advantageous but not essential.
