We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We provide housing management and support our brilliant customers who have been diagnosed with a learning disability or a mental health issue.
Amersham Place provides a variety of units (1 and 2 bedroom apartments) including a main house with 3 bedrooms, 2 semi-detached bungalows and a detached bungalow. The service is a housing management scheme and Home Group’s primary role is to provide housing management, which includes landlord responsibilities
As our Housing Concierge you’ll play a really important role in supporting the smooth running of our service. You’ll make sure that our buildings and customers are safe and secure, and that we get on with our neighbours!
You’ll get involved in lots of different activities which will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to. You’ll also be our first point of contact for some of customers during the night and at times we’ll also need you to do some general cleaning duties too.
About our team
Although you’ll work nights, we do get together regularly in the day time for training and team meetings. You’ll be part of our wider team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Nicola, Nicola has worked for Home Group for just over two years and has a vast amount of wealth and experience. In her spare time, she enjoys walking with her labradoodle Lola and socialising with friends and family. There are 5 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!
Amersham place is manned 24-hours per day by an external support provider who support to our customers each day and every day. In this role you’ll work during the twilight hours doing waking nights work. Your contract will be 18 hours per week, however you will work 2 shifts and then have 6 off. You will take your turn working weekends and bank holidays. We look need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative.
If you’re not the biggest fan of technology, that’s not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However, we’re glad to support you, if you need help.

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
