We are looking for a dynamic and customer focused Compliance Inspection Surveyor to join our Repairs and Investment Team. 

Reporting to the Compliance Manager you will play a lead role in the successful management of our gas and other fuel servicing, repairs, maintenance and installation contracts, ensuring compliance with contract conditions and current gas regulations to both domestic and commercial installations. You will also manage other projects such as legionella monitoring.

With the ability to successfully work in partnership, you will ensure that our tenants’ objectives around high quality, communication, and customer care are met. You will ensure that programmes are delivered in line with agreed budgets, and that key performance indicators are met. 

The role requires the candidates to demonstrate substantial experience and knowledge of the current gas safety (Installation and use Regulations) and preferably hold an appropriate gas qualification or an HNC in Building Studies or equivalent qualification as set out in the person specification.  

With a population of over 171,000, Charnwood is one of the largest district councils in the country in terms of the number of residents. The borough sits centrally between the three cities of Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, extending from the town of Loughborough in the north to the edge of Leicester to the south.

Charnwood is easily accessible from the M1 and the high speed rail link between Sheffield and London. The council own a housing stock of approximately 5,700 properties.

The post holder must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle to undertake site visits.
