Do you want to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation that works to provide housing and tenancy related support to people experiencing Domestic abuse issues?

Our Kent Domestic Abuse Service is currently looking for three Support Officers to join our dynamic team working across North and South Kent.

Clarion is offering an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to build a career working for one of Europe's largest housing associations. Alongside providing general needs housing Clarion also delivers support services to some of the most vulnerable people in society. Our work supporting individuals and families who have experienced domestic abuse offers our customers the opportunity to move on and live fulfilled, safe lives following the trauma they've experienced. The role of Support Officer whilst challenging at times, is an extremely rewarding one.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you need to have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children, ideally having previous experience in a similar role. We are looking for people who have the qualities and skills we feel would most benefit our clients; professionalism, empathy and understanding, and a desire to develop their own knowledge and skills to best support our clients.

As a Support Officer, you'll work alongside colleagues in supported housing and the IDVA and outreach services in Kent to help clients and their families stay safe and recover from abuse. You will use a person centred and trauma informed approach to assess the clients' needs and create an individual support plan. You may be required to help clients to access: welfare benefits; support for debt issues; safe accommodation; support for court hearings or child protection meetings; support for their children; support from drug, alcohol and mental health services. Working for Clarion as part of the Kent team you will be delivering exceptional support services to our customers.

Here at Clarion we're dedicated to rewarding hard work and commitment and providing benefits that support you and your lifestyle. As standard we offer;-

  • Competitive salaries that are benchmarked regularly against current market rates

  • Initial 25 Days annual leave (plus bank holiday), increasing to 30 days after 3 years' service.

  • A flexible benefit scheme tailored to you, inclusive of healthcare options, dental insurance, restaurant card and cycle to work along with 1% of your salary to spend on whichever approved benefit you like!

  • Matched pension contributions of up to 7.5% of your salary with generous life assurance

  • Flexible and agile working for the majority of our employees

Other perks

  • Company Bonus Scheme

  • Eye care vouchers

  • Holiday trading scheme allowing you to buy and sell leave

  • Free counselling and legal advice scheme for you and your family

  • Interest free loans for season ticket and study leave

A full training package will also be provided to new members of our team to help them develop the skills to become a great support officer.

If you feel you have the qualities we're looking for we'd love to hear from you.
