Plus, brilliant benefits!

Empowering customers to live rewarding and happy lives. That’s when it hits home.

We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who live independently in our properties designed for those aged 65 and over. They live in a lovely block containing 36 individual 1 bedroom flats with a communal lounge, laundry facilities and extensive gardens in the heart of Barnet. They have access to local shops as well as a park, and great links to central London.

You’ll be our Housing and Property Guru! Focussing on tenancy support, you’ll provide a housing management service to our customers, supporting them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts.  You’ll also help our customers with their housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account. You’ll turn around vacant bed spaces so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly.  You’ll also make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we are health and safety compliant!

About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Kelly, she has been with Home Group for 2 years and has recently moved over to the service.

There are 6 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! In our team we have Kelly, Billi-Jo, Ruth, Alyse, Paul and Emmanuel. We love to have team catch ups and quizzes sometimes with fancy dress!

Working hours
You’ll work between the hours of 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday on a rota basis. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

Bank
Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid weekly!

About you
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.

As Housing Management Coordinator you’re experienced in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties. You know all about re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. You’re great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
