A bit about the role...
You will provide an efficient income and billing service for Homes England to ensure all invoices and receipts are recorded accurately, you will ensure appropriate recovery procedures are adhered to and maintain customer accounts held in the finance system.
The role is varied but tasks include undertaking credit control for all overdue debt, ensuring close links are built and maintained with customers. You will ensure accurate records are held for customers and appropriate follow up notes recorded and actioned. You will process sales invoice requests, allocate all BACS / cheque receipts received and will be responsible for creating, registering, and archiving of documents.
A bit about you…
You should have a broad finance background with relevant Accounts Receivable experience in either the public or private sector and an understanding of accounting principles. A key requirement of the role will be undertaking credit control and it is essential that you can demonstrate you have experience in debt collection, can build relationships with customers and conduct yourself in a professional manner. You'll also be resilient and comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and written.
It is necessary that you have experience of working with financial systems as well as being proficient in Excel. You will be required to extract, manipulate, present, and reconcile data with ease. You should be used to working with high volume/value transactions and can demonstrate that you are able to process and manage data accurately and competently.
You should be analytical and can be relied upon to manage and resolve queries in a timely manner. It is essential that you can work independently and maintain focus during busy times. You should be highly organised and be confident prioritising your workload to meet changing business needs. Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun, and engaging way.
As an experienced finance professional, you’ll be able to demonstrate you apply creative and imaginative solutions to systems or process issues, whilst working with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
