Woking Borough Council is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Housing Development Officer to support the delivery of affordable homes across our Borough.

Working directly to the Strategic Housing and Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying housing need in the Borough and progressing suitable development opportunities. You will project manage various affordable housing projects for the Council overseeing the whole commissioning and construction process.

The successful post holder will develop and maintain excellent partnerships with developers, registered providers, Homes England, health and social care partners, and others to support the delivery of new affordable housing.

Alongside this, you will assist in the timely and accurate production of housing delivery and performance statistics for the Council, Government and other bodies and identify possible sources of funding to facilitate new affordable housing developments and projects.

With excellent communication skills, proven negotiation skills and a clear commitment to delivery, this is an exciting opportunity for the right person to contribute to meeting the housing needs of those living in the Borough.
