About the role
As one of our Building Inspectors, you will plan, prioritise and ensure delivery of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes and projects on all properties owned or managed by Rooftop, excluding mechanical and electrical services, including supporting the Assets Investment Manager to ensure all properties meet Decent Homes Standard.
You’ll need to hold a relevant professional building qualification or have a background in building surveying or maintenance. Along with current knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM regulations, and understand stock condition surveys and the Housing Health & Safety Rating System.
With a strong customer focus, you will be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have experience of working with building and service contracts. Able to prepare clear and concise reports and technical specifications, you will have experience of using Schedule of Rates to issue and control maintenance work and have the ability to complete and review risk assessments. Knowledge of fire risk assessments is desirable, as is an understanding of Section 20 requirements.
